FPS 3000 Troubleshooting Simulator Released - June 15th 2008

Troubleshoot an Industrial Control System with the FPS 3000 Troubleshooting Simulator.

This simulation models a fluid processing system similar to systems found in various industrial applications. This system consists of a variety of components including a Pump, Agitator, Heaters, Motors, Transformers, Contactors, and Overloads.

The control portion of the system consists of a variety of components typically found in industrial control systems such as: Temperature, Float, & Selector Switches, Relays, Timers, Pushbuttons, Solenoid Valves, Fuses, and Indicators.

Troubleshooting Skills Series Version 3.2 Released - July 3, 2007

The Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Series now supports Windows Vista 32 bit version.

The new system specifications are:

  • Windows 2000/XP/Vista 32bit
  • Pentium II Class PC or greater (500 MHz or higher recommended)
  • Video Resolution of 800 x 600 or greater (XGA of 1024 x 768 recommended)
  • Sound Card
  • Mouse

New Fault Pack Released for TMC - May 8, 2007

A total of 5 Fault Packs are now available. With this new Fault Pack, designed for the Troubleshooting - Motor Controls program, there are now over 40 new faults that can be added to the Troubleshooting Skills Series programs. This means you now have access to over 100 faults to provide practice for your troubleshooting skills.

New Troubleshooting Skills Series V3 Released - January 15, 2007

The new Troubleshooting Skills Series V3 is a total redesign of the original Troubleshooting Skills Series. Many new features have been added such as:

  • scoring,
  • more faults,
  • improved simulations,
  • more comprehensive evaluation and feedback and
  • the ability to add additional faults via fault packs.

New Options for Troubleshooting Skills Series Released - April 2006

Two new purchase options are now available for the Troubleshooting Skills Series:

  • The Shop license is designed for businesses where up to 5 staff will use the software
  • New Network options are now available allowing the programs to be installed on a network and be accessed from workstations connected to the network. (Options are now available from 1 concurrent user and up.)

New Version of Troubleshooting Skills Series Released - September 2005

A New version of the Troubleshooting Skills Series was released September 28, 2005. Some of the new features in this new version are:

  • The Demo Version of the programs have been enhanced so they now assess the user's troubleshooting skills on a sample fault and provide feedback
  • The activation process has been streamlined
  • A listing of all fault messages is included in MCC with some now being optional
 

New Features Added to Troubleshooting Skills Series - January 2005

Single user version of all programs now allow you to retry faults. Once you have completed all the faults in any one of the programs (BT has 16 faults, BCC has 28, and MCC has 24) you will be able to retry these faults over and over again!


Simutech releases new versions of their award winning software
- June 2004

Simutech has released new versions of all three programs in their award winning Troubleshooting Skills Series. The key new features are:

  • A Single User license is now available.
    This cost effective option is designed for individuals who want to work through the programs on their own.

  • A Concurrent User Network license is now available.
    This allows organizations to purchase licenses based on the number of people who will access the program at one time, therefore saving costs.

  • The user reporting functions have been enhanced.

In addition to the On-Line demos Simutech currently offers on their web site, Simutech has released downloadable versions of their Troubleshooting skills series.
  • These programs can be downloaded from their web site and installed – no CD-ROM required

  • To unlock the full features of the programs, licenses can be purchased online from the Simutech web site

Simutech picks up two OTTER awards at this years Awards Dinner presented by the Canadian Society for Training and Development.
