The programs are robust, dynamic, well sequenced, and have thorough tutorials and an intuitive interface. Incorporation of these valuable troubleshooting tools into our curriculum is making a major contribution to the quality of our instruction in developing these troubleshooting competencies successfully.
Your products [Troubleshooting Skills Training System] have certainly played a part in our success. I have had many graduates stop by and talk about how their learned troubleshooting skills have helped them get hired or get promoted.
I am very impressed with the troubleshooting software. I have mentioned it to my contacts and cannot believe how realistic the program is regarding test equipment, limit switches, overcurrent protection, wiring connections, contactor operation, and much more. I have been in the electric utility business for thirty years, and teaching for an additional ten years. For the cost, this is the best and most practical software I have ever seen.
The best part is that test results in the simulations are similar to real word experience. [This software is an] excellent way to prepare for real world troubleshooting events.
We have found that once a student completes the 'virtual troubleshooting' avenue and progresses to the 'hands-on' portion less instruction is necessary to achieve the necessary results of understanding and safe practices.
The benefits were seen immediately...an apprentice who completed the training was able to quickly find and clear a ground in a circuit that had been broken for two days. This was after numerous unsuccessful attempts by a "qualified" craftsman without the software training. We are now in the process of scheduling all of our technicians for this training on a recurring basis.
The software is working out great...it's worth making sure that our new maintenance people go through the programs and now it's going to be a mandatory part of their training. I've seen the difference in the few people I've run through. The more practice I can get these new troubleshooters the better.
Even my more experienced techs have commented on how realistic the training is. For the cost of training one person I was able to purchase the Simutech software and train my entire technical shop.
We at Domtar have multiple machines for cutting paper, all are pretty elaborate electrically. Your program has given my employees a much better understanding of what it takes to troubleshoot a problem and has reduced downtime as a result. The fact that they can use the program at their leisure keeps them sharp for when the skill is actually needed. This program has been worth its weight in gold.
In more than 30 years of conducting Electrical Skills/Safety training, the Simutech Interactive Troubleshooting software series is the best training aide I’ve seen for electrical safety & troubleshooting training. I highly recommend it as a part of training for all hands-on electricians.
It's been a blast watching the instructors get the software up and going. They are like a bunch of little kids with a new toy... They think the technology will be a huge help in teaching our employees a better way to troubleshoot our equipment. We all wish we had this kind of training aid when we were on our tools. I'm already a big fan!
Safety played a big part in our decision to use these programs - they are as close as you can get to real world training and they keep a close eye on what the guys are doing. With today's technology it makes sense to use these simulations to offer the best possible training.
This is an excellent program to build confidence and efficiency into a workforce.
I absolutely love [the software]. I am a Controls Technician and I use it to review, and/or to learn/verify things all the time. This software is an invaluable tool that I wish I had when I was attending college.
I've been using the software for 3 semesters and I have no problems in using it in my class. My students find it difficult at first but as they progress in using it, they find the software friendly, they have fun and want more challenging faults. I Hope you continue develop the software because it is very useful for us instructors in our class. Again, thank you very much.
...the guys here love the programs. A couple of them even use it on their lunch time!
It [Troubleshooting Motor Controls] is one of the best pieces of educational software I have used to date. I especially like the tracking system and would like to see it applied to other software. It really helped me to see how the students were progressing and what key areas I needed to improve my delivery on. All in all a truly exceptional product.
I love the TMC program. It really helps my students improve their troubleshooting skills...TMC does a great job at teaching troubleshooting fundamentals. When my students are troubleshooting my electrically live motor control trainers I have to be on my toes so they don't kill themselves. With TMC I don't have to worry if they get ZAPPED and I can have over a dozen of them troubleshooting at the same time. I can't do that with my real trainers.
Without exception, everyone that has seen [Troubleshooting] Electrical Circuits has been impressed...it is an excellent software package.
Everyone I have put on this set of programs, from managers on down, find it to be one of the best training tools we could latch onto.
The program is awesome! I can’t wait to get my students on it.
I really can't describe how much I enjoyed this simulation program, it's wonderful. It seems very real during fault practice and is very attractive and simple for new learners or someone working in the field with motor control centers like me.
Thank you effusively for all your detailed explanations, help, and professional advice. The programs work perfectly...This is the best technical and customer service that I've ever experienced!
Overall, it seems as if the software was created to satisfy the challenges and troubleshooting objectives of my training environment. Because the student is required to find and fix the fault in a sufficient amount of time, and sometimes with minimal repairs, they are almost forced to master a troubleshooting procedure which I am sure will be beneficial throughout their career. In my opinion, this challenge keeps the students engaged and excited while utilizing the software.
