About the Simulations back to top

From basic lab circuits to full PLC circuit simulations, Troubleshooting PLC Circuits 1 ensures you learn with effective hands-on training.

Learn the Basics with Videos and 13 Guided Labs

The first circuit simulation consists of a transformer, a fuse, several relays, switches, and lights. With this simulation you will be coached step by step through the troubleshooting process on two guided faults and then be given the opportunity to solve six different exercise faults.

In-depth videos cover the important information you need to know about PLCs:

  • What is a PLC
  • How PLCs work
  • PLC components
  • Interpreting ladder diagrams

The PLC Components labs cover:

  • Digital input modules
  • CPU/control modules
  • Digital output modules with relay outputs
  • Digital input modules with transistor outputs

The Interpreting Ladder Diagrams labs cover:

  • Inputs and outputs
  • Relays
  • Latches
  • Counters
  • Timers
  • Clock pulses

Customer Feedback
...this is one of the best tools I've ever seen. It's an extremely realistic way to learn and refine your troubleshooting skills without the expense, mistakes, and pressure from the employer.
Programs like yours definitely help sharpen my skills in a discipline that I feel is as much art as it is science. I thank you for the obvious effort you've put into these programs.
A great way to hone my troubleshooting skills. Some people will get up in the morning and have a coffee and play a game of solitaire on the computer. Myself, even though I have finished all three programs, I still try to solve one or two in the morning with my coffee.
