Client Hydro One Project To convert an existing instructor led course on Electrical Safety Awareness to an on-line course. Challenge The existing program contains more than 70 minutes of linear video. The participants are spread all over Ontario, some having broadband access to the corporate intranet, others having dial-up access. The results of a final test must be recorded. Solution We developed a media rich, interactive training program that included graphics, animations and much of the existing video. The main delivery medium was a hybrid approach; the interactive content resides on the corporate intranet and the media (video and narration) on a CD. For those locations that have dial-up access or no access, a stand-alone version of the program was created on CD. A separate final test was developed for the corporate intranet and participant completion results are emailed to the course manager. |
