The Company

Simutech Multimedia, located in Ottawa Ontario, is a market leader in developing simulation based training software for the electrical industry and is the recipient of several awards for their outstanding products. Our current suite of products is designed to teach electrical troubleshooting skills through the use of electrical circuit and industrial system simulations.

The Job

As a member of the Simutech development team you will be involved in the maintenance of our existing line of simulation based electrical training programs. You will also play a key role in the development of new simulation based programs including the construction of software models of electrical components, equipment and systems. Your primary development tool is C#. Your involvement would include all aspects of development from the initial design to the final production.

Education Requirements

• Post secondary degree/diploma in computer science or programming or equivalent experience.

Required

• Experience with developing software in C#.
• Experience with object oriented programming.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory and/or physics.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Assets

• Experience with revision control and build systems.
• Experience with Install Shield technology.
• Experience with developing user interfaces.
• Familiarity with the operation of electrical equipment typically found in an industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of learning/educational theory.
