Otter Award – Best External E-Learning Program
Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD)
Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Series
The Best External E-Learning Program award went to Simutech Multimedia’s
“Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Series”. This series of
programs are designed so that the learner will develop a skilled, systematic
approach to troubleshooting electrical circuits. This is accomplished
through the use of highly interactive and realistic simulations for the
learner to practice their skills.
The CSTD Otter Awards recognize exemplary programs and products. The winning
training programs and products are selected based on their originality,
training design, packaging, communication style, integrated evaluation
strategy, and overall value to end users.
CSTD is Canada’s national organization dedicated to the profession
of training, workplace learning, and human resources development. With
over 1600 members, CSTD represent learning and performance professionals
both the public and private sectors. CSTD provides its members with ongoing
opportunities to share best practices, improve on-the-job performance,

Electrical Safety Awareness
developed for Hydro One Networks Inc.
The submission by Hydro One for the program “Electrical Safety Awareness”,
which was developed in conjunction with Simutech Multimedia, won the award
for the Best Internal E-Learning Program. This is a multimedia rich program
that teaches the hazards of electricity.
